Diary of a Wimpy Kid Dog Days!

In this book there is a boy named Gregory and he is writing in his Diary all summer long. His family calls him Greg. Gregory is always playing video games, but his dad wants him to go outside. One day Greg had to get his hair cut and he saw his mom pull in to some girly beauty salon. When he went in, he liked it because he got a lot of gossip. There was a t.v to watch when you were getting your hair cut. After that Greg started getting all girly. He would even watch girly movies early in the morning. Greg had his friend Rowley sleep over one night because they were sneaking into Greg's big brother Rodrick's room and they found a horror movie. That night they watched the movie and they got really scared. That night they slept upstairs in the bathtub. Greg's dad found them and then Greg got grounded for watching the horror movie. After a while Greg's mom and dad talked about Greg always playing video games. Greg's mom started a summer group called "Reading is Fun". Greg went for 3 days and then it got cancelled because no one came. On Greg's birthday he was opening his gifts. When he went in the room to eat, his dog ate half of the cake. Greg usually don't like going to the pool. He liked it this summer because Heather Hill was working there. Heather's little sister Holly is one of the prettiest kids in Greg's school. Greg and Rowley stayed outside the video game shop over night so they could compete first in the video game competition. That night Greg stayed uCheck Spellingp all night on watch, while Rowley was sleeping. Greg knew Rowley was afraid of the muddy hand from the horror movie. He pretended to be the muddy hand and made Rowley wake up. Rowley took a hammer and slammed it on Greg's hand. Greg had a really bad thumb after Rowley stoped slamming it. The next morning the man who worked at the video store said that there was no video competition. He let Greg and Rowley face off at a video game for a sign up sheet for the nationals or a big bag of chocolate covered raisins . Greg thought he would win because Rowley wasn't all that good at video games. Since Greg had a bad thumb, he couldn't play that good. Rowley ended up winning and he had to choose if he wanted the sign up sheet or the raisins. Rowley picked the chocolate raisins instead of the sign up sheet. When summer was soon over, Greg's mom made a book about the best summer ever with pictures and captions. I really enjoyed this book!
