Shiloh

In chapter one we found out that Marty Preston is kind hearted and he will never shoot anything moving. Marty finds a dog in the woods. The dog follows him home and Marty gets attached to the dog. Marty names the dog Shiloh because he found the dog on Shiloh Street. When Marty's family sees the dog they tell Marty to bring him back. Marty dosen't want to bring Shiloh back to Judd beacuse Judd abuses his dogs. when Marty brought Shiloh back Judd he said if taht dog runs away anymore he will get a big kick. Every time Shiloh sees Judd his tail goes between his legs and his belly goes down. Marty can tell that Shiloh is afraid of Judd. After a while Shiloh comes back to Marty's house. Marty decides that he has to keep Shiloh safe and Marty deiced to build a pen for Shiloh to stay in. Marty had to keep Shiloh a secret because if he told his family might make him give Shiloh back to Judd. Marty had to sneak food to Shiloh and when he went to David's house he asked for extra food so he could feed it to Shiloh. Marty has alot of sleepless nights because he is worried about Shiloh. One time when Shiloh and Marty were running on the field Ma caught them. Ma said she would keep Shiloh a secret from Pa for one day. That night something terrible happened. Baker's german sheppard got in and attacked Shiloh. Shiloh was badly hurt. He had a ripped ear , a gash on his leg and bites around his neck. Pa and Marty brought Shiloh to Doc Murphy's. David came over with Marty the next day and Marty had to tell David about having Shiloh. Then Doc Murphy came and brought Shiloh home to Marty, but the next day Judd came in Marty's house and asked for the dog back. Ma said that Marty is very attached to Shiloh so would we be able to buy him. Judd said "No he's a hunting dog and he could be one of the best. I hope after Marty can convince Judd to sell Shiloh to him.By Rebecca.
