I wouldn't recommend Shiloh for little kids because in chapter 9 & 10 Shiloh gets bitten by a German Shepherd. When Marty hears Shiloh squeal he runs up to his pen & he sees the German Shepherd eating Shiloh.Then the author makes it graphic with lots of blood.That's why I wouldn't recommend this book for younger kids.
